Information for current and prospective parents


Everything you need to know to prepare for and navigate the school year should be here. We hope this will help you locate details associated with the school year – it is based on parent feedback about which information parents need most often. Additional information is provided in the St. Rose of Lima School Family Handbook. Please read the handbook before the start of the school year. Google Classroom

Google Classroom is a web page and app for posting homework and class materials.  Parents and students can log in with their @srles.com accounts to access their classes.  If a student was absent or forgot to bring home his planner, homework assignments can be viewed here: https://classroom.google.com.


Hot Lunch Program


Our hot lunch program is provided by 3D FoodService. Milk is also available. Please click here for 2015-2016 program. Menus are posted monthly and orders must be placed and paid online at least 11 days in advance. Click here to view the menu and place orders. The School password (needed to register) is SRS1. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Thorne at hotlunch@stroseschool.com. St. Rose of Lima School is a nut-free school. Please see the Connecticut state guidelines here.


Before-School Care


An early drop-off program is available from 7:00 a.m. on regular school days (8:30am on delayed opening days.) The program is staffed by two full-time teachers. Advanced registration is required. Fees are $8/day for the first child, $5/day for each additional child with a monthly rate of $125/child. Non-registered students can be dropped off for $10/day.


School Uniform


St. Rose of Lima School students wear uniforms in grades K – 8. Warm weather uniforms are worn in the beginning and at the end of the school year. Winter uniforms are worn from October 1st until April 1st. Click here for detailed information about uniforms, which are purchased from Lands’ End. The school operates a uniform exchange to help families share extra and/or gently-used uniform items. Please email admissions@stroseschool.com with questions.

MSP (My Student Progress)

MSP (My Student Progress) is a student information system for keeping attendance, grades, and demographic information. Parents my access their child’s grades by logging in at https://bridgeport.mystudentsprogress.com/


FACTS Tuition Program


We use an online system, FACTS Tuition Program, for all tuition payments. Each family creates a secure login. FACTS offers payment plans and 24/7 customer service. Please visit the Tuition page for more information. Our school bookkeeper, Mr. Larry Rice, is available to answer your questions. Please email him at bookkeeper@stroseschool.com.



After-School Care


After School Care is offered for Kindergarten until 4:30pm and for Grades 1 – 8 until 5:30pm. The program is available for unexpected delays for child pick-up or other family emergencies. We offer snack, reading and play time. The program is staffed by a director and at least one other staff member. All are VIRTUS trained and CPR/First Aid trained. School Handbook


The School Handbook is an important document that must be read and discussed at home. It is expected that all parents and students are familiar with and understand the policies and procedures of the school. Our policies are aimed at creating a safe, respectful and nurturing environment. We ask that you invest time in reviewing the handbook and discussing it with your child(ren).

Summer 2017 Work


Information regarding required summer math, reading and writing bridge work for each grade level will be posted in June 2017. Information on supplies for the fall as well as uniform guidelines will also be made available.

Volunteer Opportunities


Parent volunteers are a very important contributor to our school community! There are many ways to help. All volunteers must be Virtus trained. Please contact our Parent Volunteer Coordinator, Trish McKenzie, to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
