Twelve St. Rose students, grades 4-7, who won both the school and regional Invention Convention, recently traveled to the University of Connecticut for the State competition. Several of those students received awards for their inventions. Anthony Kari, grade 5, received the Push for Entrepreneurship Award in Sports and Fitness for his 2 in 1 Swimmer’s Cap. Haley Ventresca, grade 7, received the Pfizer Health and Safety Award for her Handi-Helper. Connor Flynn, grade 7, was again recognized for his invention, Safe-Twist, which previously was recognized by the Connecticut Academy of Science & Engineering (CASE); he also received a special Congressional recognition. Congratulations to all of our creative and focused inventors. Programs such as these add dimension to the curriculum and open a world of possibilities to students.
